Child United is a respected and nationally recognized organization. Many of the things we do sets us apart from all other charities. Here’s a list of why the organization is different:
PASSION:
Child United was founded by a woman who gave up her job and sacrificed everything after she came back from a family vacation. She could not forget the children she saw on the streets and decided to do something about it. Many people see poverty but when does someone actually do something about it?
FOCUS:
Child United does not focus on world problems such as ending poverty. Rather, CU focuses on solutions. CU believes education is the key to a better future. The main goal is to educate every impoverished child in hopes it will lead them, their family and eventually their community out of poverty.
DEDICATION:
The Child United team is made up of a team of dedicated professionals whose main goal is to help children achieve their dreams. Time is precious for everyone yet the CU team volunteers their time to help the organization grow and spread to other countries.
NATIONALLY-RECOGNIZED:
Child United’s founder was nationally recognized by the Congressional Medal of Honor Society as a 2011 finalist for the ‘Citizen Before Self’ award, an honor given to only 20 ordinary citizens’ in America.
SUPPORT:
Donors can see where their money is going. Members of the CU Team travel to the country and personally hands out donations.
