“I visited Bernadette’s family and I was awestruck by the way they lived. She lived in a bamboo hut with her parents and four brothers and sisters. The first floor of the hut is made out of compact dirt. Bernadette is the poorest child in our group of sponsored children and I hope she continues to be provided with support through college. In a letter Bernadette explains the monthly allowance she gets from Child United is distributed to all her siblings. ‘I hope you continue helping me so that I can finish my study.”
