Child United is a grassroots organization that started out as an idea and grew into so much more! Since its inception in 2007, Child United has helped thousands in poverty and it continues to provide children with hope for a better future.
EDUCATION:
Through our education initiatives, Child United empowers children and helps schools in rural areas. The organization has provided school books, educational materials and computers to schools in need. School supplies were personally handed to hundreds of kids.
Child United’s HOPE is to help the poor out of the cycle of poverty by promoting education to children.
The organization has several programs to help in this effort.
- Provide schools and orphanages with educational materials, school supplies and
technology. - Sponsor children attending high school (7th grade). This is a sensitive age for many
children in poverty. Many parents are forced to take their children from school
because oftentimes they can’t afford secondary education. - Build learning centers to promote education to children in poverty.
The organization continues to accept sponsors for our ‘Sponsor A Child’ program, accept books and toys and provide technology to rural schools.
DISASTER RELIEF:
At their most deepest need during times of crisis, Child United provides help to victims. The organization provides relief supplies to those affected by tragedy.
Child United has partnered with NGO’s (non-governmental organizations) to coordinate relief efforts overseas. Child United has already helped thousands in flood-devastated Philippines and has provided donations toward relief efforts in Haiti.
AWARENESS:
Child United continues to provide support in many third world countries and at the same time raise awareness about the issues many people in poverty face.
Millions of people around the world live on less than $1.00 USD a day. This has taken a toll on families who want to raise their children in an educated society. Child United steps in to provide support to children with hopes and dreams of a better future.
